Appreciate

Appreciate own culture, you'll miss it when it's gone

Adore

Adore unique tradition, it separates us from others

Act

Don't be a sheep of other countries, do what you need to preserve what we have

Discover

Discover all culture and awaken our Filipino blood once again

STEP 1

"Pagtatanim" or Planting rice seedlings

STEP 2

"pag-aani" or harvesting rice

STEP 3

"Pagbabayo" or  pounding of rice to remove hulls (outer cover, brown part)

STEP 4

"Pagsasala" or sieving pounded rice to separate hulls and grain

I learned

...that dancing was insanely hard, it was not just performing but also satisfying the audience and letting them experience what we do

I loved

...having to collaborate with friends and classmates and share what we learn from dancing our own Filipino culture dance

I want

...someday more people, like the FILIPINIANA DANCE COMPANY of DLSU-D, will relive our country's forgotten and ignored traditions to show the entire world where we all came from and we are proud of

I will

...treasure forever what I experienced. It was enlightening and someday I would want to tell and show my future family what Filipino culture is all about
