What I learned about ART
Definition
- It is to "JOIN OR PUT TOGETHER"
- any kind of human activity subject to change and transformation of things under patterns of right reason is art
- creative arrangement of colors, sounds, lines, movements, words, stones, wood to express human feelings, emotions, or thoughts in a perfect, meaningful and enjoyable way.

FELDMAN'S METHOD OF ART CRITIQUE

DESCRIPTION Asymmetrically balanced (two sides are not exactly the same but visually balanced). Radiates from the center and Emphasizes the shape in the center of the piece which stands out the most. Proportionate (relationship of one part of the piece to the other with respect to size, number and position

ANALYSIS The organization of the elements are very well depicted in the piece. It is visually pleasing and the forms can easily be identified. The simplicity and neatness gives the centered element a chance to catch attention in one glance

INTERPRETATION Given the artist's description of his piece, in my opinion, it reflects how a person should follow his/her own path. Being narrow-headed and having a plan is far different. Panning your goals and finding your path in life is very ambitious even with challenges ahead

JUDGEMENT I am very much impressed by the piece. You are easily drawn by the center but lets your eyes roam outside the box-metaphorically, but in this case, literally. It immediately represents what it needs to. As constructive criticism, perhaps it would be better if the farther trees were made with a deeper or darker shade to give a sense of distance and it will give a much more realistic image but still has a touch of the artist's creativity.

ANALYSIS The organization of the elements are very well depicted in the piece. It is visually pleasing and the forms can easily be identified. The simplicity and neatness allows for viewers to be at ease and admire a monochromatic-type of art. It is somehow abstract.

INTERPRETATION Given the artist's description of her piece, in my opinion, the piece holds meaning not of itself but the artist. How was the artist when making his/her own masterpiece? What was he/she thinking? What was he/she feeling? Since an abstract painting is not mostly about the creativity and or skill but imagination and emotion. It is definitely a moving piece. This type of art is museum-worthy.

JUDGEMENT I have no idea how to judge an abstract work, however given that it is already a magnificent piece, perhaps it would be better if there is depth in some forms or shapes. Since viewers may tend to admire the piece for just a short time since there is not much going on. Depth may help viewers to think and imagine longer and focus on light colored shapes then move on to darker colored ones. (This is only a constructive criticism )
